4 Types of Soulmates

Many people have different opinions about soulmates, their existence and the different types. The term ’soulmate’ doesn’t have to refer to just one person whom you have a romantic relationship with. There are four soulmate levels or soulmate types which you might or might not agree with.

Types of Soulmates

Friendship – The best friend who hasn’t left your side since preschool, the one you’ve known for 25+ years is an example of friend soulmates. Often souls will reincarnate to be with other souls that really understand them. Typically a soulmate friendship is where telepathically you can finish each other’s sentences, or know what the other one means without any explanation. You’re with each other through thick and thin, but everything is platonic. You can have more then one soulmate friendship, but it’s typically
a bond between people, not people and animals.

Romantic – I believe you can only have one romantic soulmate. This is the twin flame and love that everybody wants to have in life. You only get one romantic soulmate for good reason, more then one and your soul wouldn’t be able to handle it. It’s love that spans all barriers and lifetimes. Its a deep unconditional love so regardless of what happens, the two souls will always be linked to eachother, in death and in life. Often romantic soulmates will share past lives, and wait for the person on the other side after death. Your souls are linked so you can complete each other, what one lacks the other one excels at. Without your soulmate there is a feeling of emptiness or longing to be with someone else — as if there is a
gap to be filled. People who have this empty feeling can have it for two reasons — their soulmate has passed on, or they’re waiting to meet their soulmate in this lifetime.

Spiritual Guardian (Animal Soul) - Often animals who are destined to you will be connected to your soul and linked to you. Animals that can sense the owner is in pain or upset are typically animal guardians. Animals are often reincarnated as the same type of animal or an animal of the same gender. They usually provide comfort and deeper understanding more so then a regular animal connection. Animals will carry the same personality and eye color through different lifetimes. Animals who have died will reincarnate to be with the owner, or stay on the other side until the owner has crossed over. The animal guardians are there to teach lessons of patience, love and understanding as well as other life lessons that can only be taught on the physical plain of existence. Some act as companions for a person who is lonely before they meet their soulmate (romantic or friendship). Our dog Ripple I believe is the reincarnation of a dog my husband
had growing up as a child, who he was very close with.

Spiritual Guardian (Human Soul) – Basically, a Spirit Guardian is a soul who has been assigned to you personally. This guardian will take care of your physical needs, spiritually teach you lessons and give you information over time. Almost like a baby-sitter who never leaves until their job is complete and you cross over. Often you’ll share past lives with this spirit, either as a good friend, mother, or father etc. Sometimes animal souls will take the form of spirit guardian and companion on the physical plain to keep you on the right track.
